Is Animus free?
Yes, 100% free. There are no fees or subscriptions. You participate by answering questions and seeing real-time community results.
Why do I have to answer before seeing the results?
To prevent herd mentality. When people see what everyone else voted first, their answers change. Committing your answer first keeps results honest and accurate.
How does the credit system work?
Animus uses a simple principle: Give to Ask. You earn credits by answering questions. You then use those credits to post your own questions and boost them to more people.
What personal data do you collect?
None that identifies you. No names, no email address display, no phone contacts, and no ad tracking. We only ask for broad demographic categories (age range, gender, general region) so everyone can see patterns across groups.
What happens if someone asks a question that already exists?
Animus automatically merges identical questions into a single question. This keeps all the answers together and provides much larger, more reliable sample sizes.
How is Animus different from social networks?

Can my answers help teach my personal Remnant?
Yes, if you choose to connect them. By default, Animus is completely anonymous. If you link your account to Animus Remnant, the dilemmas you answer automatically calibrate your digital persona—the mask through which you speak and reason—teaching it how you decide with zero extra effort.
Who can see and use this data?
Everyone. Teachers, researchers, journalists, and everyday people can see genuine public opinion without the distortion of click-driven social media.
How strict is Animus about privacy, and do the apps contain spyware?
Privacy is our sacred foundation. Our apps contain zero spyware, zero tracking SDKs, and make no network calls that aren't strictly necessary to operate—which you can easily verify by auditing app network traffic with tools like Wireshark. Your responses are encrypted, nothing is ever shared or sold, and accounts can be permanently and irrevocably deleted following strict authentication protocols, with zero possibility of recovery.
